Technical Sales Engineer

Your responsibilities:

As a Technical Sales Engineer at Johnson Controls, you will be the frontrunner for driving our sales of industrial refrigeration and heat pump solutions on Zealand. In this role, you will take personal leadership in the sales phase and effectively handle the technical and commercial aspects of the projects. This will involve customer visits to understand customer needs, participate in project reviews to ensure successful outcomes, and provide expert advice on our technical solutions. We therefore expect you to have a good understanding of technical energy systems as well as the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to customers.

From our office in Roskilde, you will report directly to the sales manager in Denmark. You will be part of a dynamic department with the necessary support and resources to succeed in your role, including access to our exciting product range and a strong global network.

Your tasks:

  • Drive the pipeline and sales process
  • Drive sales of technical projects within industrial refrigeration and heat pump solutions
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities on Zealand
  • Provide technical expertise and conduct needs assessments to help customers make informed choices of solutions
  • Create and present customized materials based on customer requirements
  • Collaborate with the service department to support existing service customers and ensure customer satisfaction

Who are you:

  • Educated in mechanical engineering or a similar technical background and ideally combined with commercial sales experience or practical experience in selling/advising technical solutions within the energy sector
  • The main qualification is your technical mindset that enables you to understand, advise, and support your customers in relation to their technical needs
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills with fluent speaking and writing skills in English and Danish
  • Skills in using Office, calculation software, and CRM systems
