Packaging Ops Analyst

As a packaging Ops Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting end-user computing operations, ensuring efficient and effective IT service delivery. You will assist in troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining systems, and supporting users in a timely manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experience and streamline process.

Technical Skills

• MSI and App-V Packaging: Proficiency in creating and customizing Windows Installer (MSI) and Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) packages.
• Scripting Languages: Strong knowledge of PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch scripting for automation and customization.
• Packaging Tools: Experience with tools like Admin Studio, Wise Package Studio, InstallShield, or Flexera.
• Software Deployment: Familiarity with deployment platforms like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), or Intune.
• Operating System Knowledge: Deep understanding of Windows OS architecture, registry, file systems, and user profiles.

Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills

• Issue Diagnosis: Ability to debug installation failures, resolve dependency conflicts, and troubleshoot compatibility issues.
• Log Analysis: Skilled in interpreting installation logs (e.g., MSI logs, App-V logs) to identify root causes.
• Testing & QA: Experience in functional, UAT, and regression testing of packaged applications.

Documentation & Process

• Process Adherence: Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and service catalog workflows.
• Documentation: Ability to create detailed packaging documentation, including installation guides and rollback procedures.

Soft Skills

• Communication: Clear interaction with stakeholders, end-users, and cross functional teams.
• Time Management: Handling multiple packaging requests with prioritization and efficiency.
• Adaptability: Staying current with evolving technologies and adapting to new environments or tools
