National Technical Account Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven National Technical Account Manager to oversee and grow strategic relationships across critical sites throughout the UK. This role is pivotal in driving increased share of wallet, promoting best practices, and leading the adoption of new technologies within our Johnson Controls customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Ownership: Manage a portfolio of high-value, complex accounts across critical infrastructure sectors (e.g., healthcare, data centres, government).
  • Strategic Growth: Identify and execute strategies to expand account value, increase product and service penetration, and drive long-term customer loyalty.
  • Thought Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor, promoting innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation through Johnson Controls solutions.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across customer organisations, including technical, operational, and commercial decision-makers.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on system optimisation, upgrades, and integration of new technologies across BMS, HVACR, and controls.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, engineering, and service teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate account plans, pipeline forecasts, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Proven track record in key account management, ideally within building technologies, controls, or critical infrastructure.
  • Strong ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments and influence decision-making.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in driving account growth and strategic planning.
  • Technical understanding of BMS, HVACR, controls, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently across a national territory.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with critical sites (e.g., hospitals, data centres, secure facilities).
  • Familiarity with Johnson Controls products and services.
  • Background in engineering, building services, or technical sales.
