Assistant Sales Manager

Supervises Sales Floor ensuring Sales Associates are conducting outstanding customer service as per John Bull's standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets.

Include the following, but not limited to:

  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service.
  • Oversees all Store operations (Ensuring opening and closing procedures are followed, displays are restocked promptly when items are sold, POS registers are operated correctly and Cash Wrap counters are kept clean and free of clutter)
  • Correctly carries out all sales transactions in accordance with John Bull's policies and procedures. (Inclusive of merchandise classes, routine sales, discounted sales, holding merchandise for customers, gift certificates, returns, exchanges and store credits, operating the POS and methods of payment.)
  • Effectively carries out Sales and Service procedures in accordance with John Bull's standards. (Inclusive of opening the sale, probing, demonstration, trial close, handling objections, closing the sale, confirmations and invitations, extras that enhance customer service, compliance with non-negotiable standards and sales performance.)
  • Maintains an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
  • Assists in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping
  • Assists in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock
  • Assists Store Manager in training of new employees
  • Trains staff on company promotions, media awareness of products and new product knowledge
  • Oversees scheduling and payroll
  • Oversees Inventory Management (Inclusive of maintaining constant awareness of possibility of employee theft and communicating any shipment variances to Internal Audit)
  • Conducts thorough Bookkeeping and Expenditures practices (Inclusive of daily cash handling procedures and store paid outs)
  • Assists in completing price changes within the department
  • Participates in year-end inventory and cycle counts
  • Receives inventory transfer accurately and on time per policy
  • Maintains internal/external security procedures to prevent theft
  • Assists in store opening and closing procedures (inclusive of cleaning displays and mirrors, emptying trash and straightening the Sales Floor.)
  • Demonstrates complete understanding and executes all responsibilities listed on Salesperson's Job Responsibility Checklist
  • Consistently meets or exceeds minimum sales standards (black/gold/platinum status)

  • Performs any other reasonable duties as assigned by Manager
