We're a fast-growing, high-energy publishing company dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of families affected by autism. Through our magazine, virtual summits, and educational courses, we provide the resources and support that make an impact globally.
At APM, we're moving quickly. As a rapidly expanding organization, we thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment where everyone is expected to work hard and stay focused on delivering results. Our global, remote-first team spans the UK, USA, Philippines, South Africa, and Eastern Europe, and we're growing by the day.
We follow the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to keep our team aligned, accountable, and relentlessly focused on execution.
While our work is demanding, it's also incredibly rewarding. We meet virtually each week to stay aligned and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability. Tools like Hubstaff help us maintain clarity on time tracking and progress, ensuring that everyone is working at their best.
We're looking for a Technical Operations Specialist (CMS & Web Systems) to help us keep our web and marketing systems running smoothly.
This is an operations-focused role, not a web development or coding position.
If you enjoy structured work, clear processes, recurring tasks, and being the person who makes sure everything is done properly and on time, this role will likely be a great fit.
If you're mainly looking for a freelance web developer role or enjoy juggling multiple clients at the same time, this role won't be suitable.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
Following daily, weekly, and monthly checklists and SOPs to keep systems running smoothly
Coordinating the publishing of content (articles, pages, updates)
Performing quality checks before launches, promotions, and updates
Checking that pages, forms, links, and user journeys are working as expected
Keeping tasks organised and making sure recurring work is completed on time
Flagging issues early and escalating them clearly when needed
Coordinating with team members or external vendors if something needs fixing
Keeping things documented so processes don't rely on memory
This role is about consistency, reliability, and follow-through, not about building new systems or writing code.
What This Role Is Not:
Writing custom code or developing websites
Building sites or systems from scratch
Advanced technical troubleshooting
Managing multiple freelance clients
Constantly changing tasks or priorities
When technical issues come up, your role is to identify the issue, follow the process, and coordinate the solution, not to act as a developer.
How We Measure Success:
Recurring tasks are completed consistently without reminders
Launches and updates go out smoothly with proper checks completed
Issues are spotted early and communicated clearly
Systems stay organised and predictable
The team can trust that things are being handled without needing to double-check
Working hours: This is a full-time role working from 8:00 to 17:00 UK time, with flexibility for troubleshooting during big events and working with software vendors.
This is an exclusive contractor role during agreed working hours. Because this position involves ongoing responsibility and time-sensitive work, it can't be done alongside another active job or contract. If you're currently working in another role that would run at the same time, this position won't be a fit.
