Job Description

Responsibilities

• Understand, communicate, and enforce the company software architecture strategy
• Manage the design, development, and implementation of software solutions
• Define and document application architecture and design
• Coach and mentor software engineers, programmers, and other team members
• Create and maintain design and code standards and frameworks
• Individual hands-on capability for technical feasibility research
• Work with Agile leader and engineering team to ensure overall project execution

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software architecture, or related field
• Master’s degree in computer engineering preferred but not required.
• 5-8 years of experience leading software development teams
• 3-5 years medical device software development and related experience, familiar with ISO13485 is preferred
• Rich project experience with multiple development projects; IoT product development is preferred
• Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Java, C#, Python
• Familiar with Linux operating system, capable of independently developing and deployment related scripts, such as Shell
• Familiar with cloud architecture and secure deployment.
• Familiarity with software build tools, such as Gradle and Maven
• Familiarity with software version control systems such as Git
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and testing frameworks, such as Scrum
• Familiarity with software delivery platforms, such as Atlassian’s Jira, Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Apache’s Subversion
• Strong technical research skills, with experience in independently conducting research on new technologies and developing demo prototypes
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Big-picture problem-solving skills
