Job Duties:
- Plan and execute laboratory test method validations and equipment qualifications for Physical, Analytical, and Microbiological Laboratories.
- Monitor, adjust, create, and validate test methods to ensure they are current and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Train laboratory technicians in new test method techniques based on completed test method validations.
- Provide internal and external audit support as Laboratory Test Method and Equipment Qualification SME.
- Interact with external vendors to coordinate required equipment purchases and repairs.
- Direct and lead the laboratory services group of Validation Scientists and Process Quality Technicians.
- Ensure all Laboratory Quality Metrics are consistently completed on time (Observation Actions, CAPA Actions, Nonconformance Actions, Lab Investigation Closure, and Periodic Reviews).
- Lead the San Angelo site for routine USP compendia revision reviews to ensure the laboratories are executing testing as required per current USP revisions.
- Analyze existing systems and procedures, recommend solutions/improvements, and write work instructions/SOPs as needed to support departmental functions and Global Laboratory Systems.
- Comply with all applicable quality management system, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies such as ISO 13485, ISO14001, and OSHAS18001.
- Communicate compliance requirements to strategic business unit functions and other affected personnel.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Laboratory Services Supervisor-related occupation.
