We are looking for a Director, Strategic Support & PMO (M/F/D) to start as soon as possible and with main work location in Hamburg, Germany.

Position Overview:

The Director of Strategic Support & PMO (M/F/D) in Germany is responsible for leading the development, execution, and monitoring of the strategic agenda within the MedTech sector, with a focus on aligning regional priorities with global enterprise strategies. This role facilitates strategic alignment, ensuring effective communication and driving operational excellence. The position aims to foster cross-functional collaboration, enable data-driven decision-making, and support transformational initiatives that sustain long-term growth and organizational effectiveness within the German healthcare landscape.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Germany-specific strategic plans, aligning with broader regional and global objectives.
  • Act as PMO, coordinating the Leadership Team's agendas, follow-ups, and strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison across functions, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely execution of key projects and priorities.
  • Facilitate executive decision-making, prepare and communicate strategic updates, and track progress towards key goals.
  • Establish and strengthen data and analytics capabilities to support insights-driven decisions.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on market, business performance, and operational metrics.
  • Drive digital initiatives, including automation and data visualization tools, to enhance efficiency and strategic agility.
  • Lead key strategic projects, including new growth opportunities, resource planning, and operational improvements.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, resolving issues and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support onboarding and execution of transformational initiatives in Germany, especially in GTM models and resource optimization.
  • Organize and facilitate governance activities, meetings, and strategic reviews with leadership teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal functions and external partners (e.g., industry associations, KOLs) to leverage insights and foster long-term relationships.
  • Ensure follow-up on action items, strategic commitments, and external engagements.
  • Support external stakeholders' engagement (advisory boards, congresses, customer meetings).
  • Lead initiatives related to organizational effectiveness, including change management and communication strategies.
  • Manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Participate in international and regional meetings, representing Germany's strategic interests.

Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in Business / MBA
  • Min 10 years of relevant experience with demonstrated track record in multiple business situations: BI, Data skills, Project Management, Change Management
  • Min 2 years of people leadership experience
  • Strong business acumen and strategic consulting mindset
  • Experience in leading complex business activities incl. multi stakeholder negotiations
  • Track record in building mutually beneficial networks and partnership models with key external leaders and agencies to develop value-generating solutions
  • Drive for results—set the pace for the team to deliver stretch initiatives and to take required decisions
  • Unquestioned ethics, integrity, and Credo-based leadership
  • Demonstrated enterprise mindset, with ability to influence and collaborate in a global, matrixed environment to achieve business objectives
  • The role may involve travel domestic and internationally 15-30%
  • Languages: English: fluent; German: basic
