Position Summary

Coordinate front end operations to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience and driving customer loyalty. Ensures compliance with company programs, while maintaining operational standards.

What You'll Do

1. Confirm that safe work processes and emergency procedures are respected, i.e. safe lifting techniques, cleanliness of the area, evacuations, emergency codes, theft. 2. Manage customer and associate concerns and provide advice, as needed. 3. Monitor all checkout associates to ensure good coverage, coordination of breaks, and assistance to peripheral checkouts. 4. Provide training to associates on company systems and procedures, i.e. scanning accuracy, productivity, company programs and initiatives, discounts, SEA systems, security. 5. Oversee shopping, return, and exchange transactions, correcting errors as needed, providing approvals, and verifying processes to comply with company guidelines. 6. Verify that all SEA systems function normally, i.e. deactivation by cashiers and appropriate handling of issues by front desk staff, and complete the "Demagnetization Failure" log. 7. Prepare checkouts daily for opening and closing, providing cashiers with currency as needed, maintaining cash amounts in the checkout areas, and offering support to processes with verification of cash drawer accuracy. 8. Oversee all company initiatives and programs, i.e. credit card services, Walmart protection plan, charitable initiatives, and discount programs, and promote them.
