Part of a growing team in Asia supporting APAC equity trading desks across Hong Kong, Japan, Sydney, Singapore and India
Equity products covered: Cash, Portfolio Trading, DMA, DSA, Swaps and Convertible Bonds
Conduct business requirements analysis on Asia specific trading operations and work with vendors and in-house developers to deploy, upgrade and enhance systems in Asia
Part of the regional application support team to provide production support on the global equity trading platform and handle FIX connectivity issues related to clients, vendors and internal users
Work closely with regional and global teams on understanding business needs / new initiatives and define proposed solutions
Manage systems implementation and upgrade projects; liaise with vendors regarding change requests
Engage in technical discussions with vendors and in-house developers regarding business requests
Coordinate and participant in system implementation, upgrade and enhancements testing
Prepare application system flow, operation and user documentations
At least 5 years of experience in equity front office IT space with strong application support, project management and business analysis skills
At least 3 years of experience with Order Management System application, preferably the Fidessa Trading Platform
At least 3 years of experience in FIX protocol and applications, preferably ULLink client connectivity and order routine
Project management and implementation experience in regional front office trading platform for Asia markets is a strong advantage
Clear understanding of Asian equities order flow life cycle
Familiar with trading system workflow for both high-touch (single stock, basket trading, swap, converts) and low-touch (DMA and Algo) trading
Knowledge of Swap and Convertible Bonds trading is a strong plus
APAC market knowledge e.g. auction mechanism in HK/JP, short sell rules is an added advantage
Expertise in operating windows and Linux environment with good command of scripting language such as Shell, Perl, Python, etc.
Strong knowledge of monitoring tools – Nagios, Splunk, OTEL, Datadog
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databased (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) for troubleshooting, data investigation and performing production support analysis.
Able to independently manage multiple tasks, detail oriented, proactive, with strong sense of ownership and urgency
A strong team player able to collaborate across teams and comfortable working with equity front office users in a global operating model
Highly competent and effective in both verbal and written English communication
