Jeeny is a mobile application that eases daily commuting and transportation. By connecting you with your preferred mode of transportation, we are fulfilling our aim of making mobility accessible, affordable, and flexible for all. We are a joint venture between MEIG (Middle East Internet Group), Rocket Internet, and IMENA. Jeeny was established in 2014 as Easy Taxi. However, in 2016, it was revamped as Jeeny to cater to other services. Currently, we are operational in Saudi Arabia and Jordan. We have offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Khobar, Amman, Lahore, and Karachi. We are hiring a Platform Engineer to design and operate a scalable internal platform for our ride-hailing ecosystem. You will enable high-performance, secure, and reliable systems while empowering developers with self-service tools and streamlined workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) to enable self-service infrastructure and standardized development workflows
• Develop and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on AWS, including Kubernetes (EKS) environments
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistency and automation across all environments
• Build, optimize, and standardize CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable, and low-risk deployments
• Improve system reliability by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Define and enforce best practices for scalability, performance, and high availability across services
• Collaborate with Security teams to integrate DevSecOps practices, including secrets management, IAM policies, and compliance requirements
• Enable development teams with self-service tools, templates, and documentation to reduce dependency on DevOps
• Drive cost optimization initiatives across cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes workloads
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve system resilience
• Continuously enhance developer experience (DX) by simplifying workflows, reducing friction, and improving onboarding processes
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to platform architecture
