Operations And Logistics Clerk
The JADA Group of Companies invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Operations and Logistics Clerk. The Operations and Logistics Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the scheduling, dispatching, and verification of truck deliveries for various divisions, including Asphalt, Concrete, Stone Sand and Precast. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely service, accurate documentation, proper route adherence, and payroll accuracy for all delivery operations. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational and analytical skills, with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and customer service.
Key Performance Areas:
Scheduling & Dispatch:
- Schedule daily and weekly truck deliveries in line with customer orders and project timelines.
- Communicate with drivers, dispatch, and site teams to ensure efficient allocation of trucks and timely deliveries
Timekeeping & Documentation:
- Collect and collate delivery tickets for all dispatched items, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain up-to-date delivery records for billing, audit, and operational tracking purposes.
- Record driver working hours and delivery times to support payroll and compliance reporting.
GPS & Route Verification:
- Monitor GPS tracking systems to verify that trips are completed as per planned routes and schedules.
- Flag and investigate any discrepancies in trip data, delays, or unauthorized route changes.
- Provide daily/weekly reports on truck movements, delivery times, and route adherence.
Payroll Processing:
- Track, verify, and compile drivers' and logistics staff payroll hours based on timekeeping and delivery data.
- Ensure accuracy of overtime, allowances, and deductions in line with company policies.
- Prepare payroll input sheets for submission to the Finance/HR department.
- Work closely with management to address discrepancies or queries related to employee hours.
Operational Support:
- Liaise with the various plant site supervisors, and drivers to resolve scheduling conflicts or delivery issues.
- Assist with customer queries regarding delivery times, ticket verification, and service status.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality.

Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or operations (construction or concrete industry experience an asset).
- Experience in payroll processing or timekeeping administration preferred.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Core Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiar with logistics or dispatching software.
- Experience using GPS tracking systems and fleet management tools.
- Basic knowledge of payroll software and payroll compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
