Join our dynamic Transportation team in Reston, Virginia and play a key role in redefining how people and goods move. As a Transportation/Traffic Engineer, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of roadway designers, traffic engineers, planners, and operations experts to deliver innovative, multimodal solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

What You'll Do:

• Lead traffic engineering and transportation planning projects focused on intersections, freeways, and arterial corridors.
• Conduct traffic operations and safety studies using tools like Synchro, VISSIM, and HCM/HSM methodologies.
• Develop traffic control devices, traffic signal design, signing and pavement marking design, plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic designs incorporating traffic engineering requirements into roadway plans.
• Preparing plans using design software such as CADD, OpenRoads Designer, and MicroStation.
• Prepare and present high-quality technical reports to clients in both virtual and in-person settings.
• Apply a multimodal lens to every project—accounting for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and drivers across diverse environments.

Ideally, you'll also have:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• PTOE certification.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum $85,000.00 to Upper $120,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
