We are looking for a driven, well organized, and client focused Senior Structural Engineering Professional to grow with our team in Conshohocken, PA.
As a Senior Structural Engineering Professional you will collaborate closely with architects, and structural engineers. You will lead structural engineering teams from Concept Design through Construction, as well as provide structural engineering input to our Jacobs Architecture Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as they develop feasibility studies, concept designs, and masterplans.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working directly with clients. A person who has a firm grasp of building codes, best practices, and construction detailing, as well as excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Revit or other 3-D analysis and modeling tools. An individual who is able to take structural engineering concepts and follow through with the necessary construction documentation, as well as coordinate with architecture and other in-house engineering disciplines. Someone who can continue beyond the engineering phase to assist with permitting efforts and construction activities. Our Engineer of Record (EOR) will typically sign off on the construction that we do the engineering for.

Here's what you'll need:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited engineering school.
• Minimum of 15 years of applicable professional experience.
• Professional Engineering license in Structural Engineering.
• Experience in organizing and leading a structural team through the implementation of the project execution process – including Concept Design, Basis of Design, Detail Design, Procurement, and Construction Support.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in the design process, construction documentation, construction administration, materials and methods of construction, and model building codes.
• Advanced understanding of structural engineering design (including wind, seismic, thermal, and vibration analyses) and its interrelationship with other disciplines – particularly architecture and civil engineering.
• Experience performing construction administration activities – responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, preparing field observation reports, and punchlisting.
• Willingness to work remotely and engage virtually with team members in different geographic locations.
• Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities; coordinating work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants; independently as well as collaboratively.
• Ability to perform quality checking or accept and implement quality checking by others.
• Experience supervising the work of other design professionals.
• Strong interpersonal skills – speaking, writing, listening, including client presentation skills.
• Proficiency in 3-D Engineering Design / modeling, and Engineering software (Revit, STAAD, RISA, and/or RAM).
• Proficiency with MS Office, and PowerPoint, and Bluebeam Revu.
• United States Citizen.
• Focus on Life Sciences projects including but not limited to Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Light Industrial, and Light Chemical preferred
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• Masters degree from an accredited engineering school is preferred
• Involvement in professional and /or community associations.
• Ability to contribute to the development of new ideas, techniques, and standards.
