Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practices regionally and we have a need for an engineering intern in our San Juan office. This position serves in a support role to engineers and project managers on water, wastewater, and technology projects. This individual will be a part of a dynamic team and will participate in the design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. This individual will both work independently and with peers as part of a team. This position should be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project while delivering transformative projects for our clients, in our diverse and fast-paced office.

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of senior level engineers.
  • Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, programing, procedures and criteria.
  • Make field trips and conduct field audits.
  • Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
  • Prepare planning, engineering and/or construction documents, reports, studies, and calculations.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Computer, Industrial, Software or Chemical Engineering or another closely related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Previous intern experience with a consulting or engineering firm
  • Relevant coursework or projects

Employees have access to a 401(k) plan, as well as legally mandated benefits. The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
