Jacob's is seeking a high-energy, team player to join us as a full-time Civil Engineering intern in our Chicago, Illinois office. This opportunity is your chance to work on interesting and complex transportation engineering projects that include traffic operational analysis, safety studies and analysis, traffic impact analyses, corridor studies, and traffic/roadway design. You will work on challenging and exciting planning and design projects. The majority of work will be associated with state DOTs and local program projects.
Our top candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), a basic understanding of GIS and CAD systems, and is interested in applying highway safety research to transportation planning and design projects. Experience with computer programming (e.g. python) is a plus. There will be the opportunity to work on exciting transportation and safety projects across the country.

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
