Manager Test Operations Germany

Lead the test operations team, consisting of 8 to 10 engineers, in designing and executing a wide range of component and system tests. Test activities the team are involved with include environmental testing, leak check and pressure testing, and small scale hotfiring. The team is located both at the company's manufacturing facility in Munich and the test site in Reischach, Germany.

Personnel responsibility for the Test Operations Germany team of 8 to 10 engineers

Budget responsibility for the team and their activities, including maintenance of testing equipment and provisioning for new and expanded test facilities

Short and long term planning for the teams' activities in line with company strategy and requirements from the design departments

Developing the team's competency in test operations and engineering methods and supporting them as a technical expert

Acting as the functional coordinator and expert for testing within AIT, including defining best practice standards and creating standard operating procedures

Improving the operational effectiveness of the team and of related test operations, and measuring the impact via KPIs

Managing team capacity planning to balance coverage and wellbeing, oversee time and absences, and drive hiring, onboarding, succession, and performance management including annual reviews

Ensuring test operations are performed with as low as reasonably practicable safety risk

Masters degree in aerospace, mechanical or comparable engineering field

3 years' experience in an engineering role in a related field

Solid understanding of fluid and gas mechanics, and structural mechanics

Capable in data analysis techniques and tools (Python, Excel)

Hands-on testing experience, including both remote control room and manual testing operations

Fluent in English
