Sales Manager

Scope of the position: The resource is responsible for managing direct and indirect sales in the Triveneto, Emilia-Romagna, and part of Lombardy areas. They are tasked with coordinating and leading the local sales force through the implementation of the commercial strategy, ensuring the achievement of company objectives. They coordinate the sales team on the territory (Sales Manager and agents), supporting them in sales activities and defining local intervention plans.

Activities:

  1. Ensure the achievement of revenue and gross margin (GM) objectives for the area of competence, identifying and developing the main drivers of growth;
  2. Implement the commercial strategy on the territory, defining sales objectives and product mix for different sub-areas;
  3. Coordinate, develop, and monitor the sales force, ensuring the correct flow of technical-commercial information and collecting feedback useful for corrective actions;
  4. Ensure a high level of customer service, both through direct interventions and through the coordination of the sales team;
  5. Operate in close collaboration with Marketing and other company functions (R&D, Quality, etc.);
  6. Elaborate sales forecasts and market analysis (forecast, trends, competitor), supporting the development of new business and new customers;
  7. Take care of periodic reporting on the progress of commercial activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the commercial field and in the relevant role;
  • Degree preferably in economic disciplines;
  • Technical training in the food and/or organic sector (preferred)
  • Experience in B2B contexts in structured realities;
  • Previous management of collaborators, agents, and/or distributors;
  • Knowledge of the area of competence and the main distributors;
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office package;
  • Propensity to assume a leadership role within a team;
  • Decision-making autonomy and problem-solving skills;
  • Availability for frequent travel (over 75% of the time)

Soft skills:

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills;
  • Strong attitude towards the development of new business;
  • Ability to analyze data and figures;
  • Knowledge of forecasting and planning techniques;
  • Ability to define and achieve objectives;
  • Knowledge of negotiation techniques
