The Manager, Human Resources, is a proven people leader who is energetic, service-oriented, and experienced in managing an HR team in a fast-growing environment. This role leads a team of HR Generalists and our Senior Administrative Specialist, delivering high-quality day-to-day support for employees and managers, overseeing end-to-end recruiting, and handling frontline employee relations. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Human Resources, and works cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement of HR systems, policies, and programs. The Manager, Human Resources, develops clear playbooks and service standards, and partners across the business to enhance the employee experience, foster engagement, and maintain a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment.
Lead, coach, and develop the HR team with clear goals, service standards, and quality reviews
Serve as a consultative partner for managers and supervisors, advising on performance, feedback, job changes, and policy application
Own full-cycle recruiting, from intake and structured interviews to offers and onboarding handoffs
Triage and resolve employee relations matters, partnering with the Sr. Director, Human Resources and Legal on sensitive investigations and outcomes
Partner closely with HR Operations on onboarding/offboarding handoffs, payroll, benefits, and data integrity
Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and guidelines in partnership with Sr. Director, Human Resources and Legal
Support change management and internal communications for people programs with clear manager toolkits and timelines
Build manager toolkits and training to drive consistent practices
Lead cross-functional HR projects from scoping through implementation, with clear timelines, owners, and KPIs
Drive continuous improvement of HR systems and programs, including ATS configuration, performance cycles, engagement initiatives, and manager self-service
Analyze HR data to identify trends and inform program or policy changes, reporting insights and recommendations to leadership
Lead employee engagement programs, including surveys, listening channels, results analysis, and action planning with leaders to improve experience and retention
Set clear service SLAs for HR requests with regular quality audits and feedback loops
Establish case-management rhythms, workload balancing, and escalation paths for timely support
Oversee office administration and manage/develop the Senior Administrative Specialist, setting priorities, service standards, and growth plans
Other duties as assigned
6+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years leading HR Generalists
Exemplary leadership skills, including coaching, delegation, and accountability
High empathy, active listening, and inclusive communication skills
Demonstrated success in managing employee relations matters and coaching managers on performance and documentation
Sound decision-making and the ability to influence successful outcomes
Demonstrated thought leadership and cross-functional influence
Strong recruiting experience with structured selection and consistent, fair processes
Working knowledge of HR systems (preferably Rippling) and workflows, with a builder's mindset for optimizing and documenting processes
Clear, calm communication and sound judgment with sensitive information
Familiarity with employment law and compliant practices in a multi-state environment
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and build trust across teams
Experience supporting a multi-state workforce across hourly and salaried populations
Comfortable operating in ambiguity with strong prioritization in a fast-growing environment
Ability to translate complex policies into clear, practical guidance
Demonstrated experience in process improvement with measurable outcomes
Strong analytical skills with clear, actionable insights
Highly detail-oriented with a strong ability to produce high-quality work and spot data errors and inconsistencies
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
