Applications Lab Intern
IPG is focused on developing next-generation products & processes based on IPG's state-of-the-art lasers. The Applications Lab Intern is responsible for working as a team member to support the development of laser welding and/or Laser cleaning processes. The successful candidate must have the ability to learn new skills quickly and follow established company practices.
Duties:
- Support applications team in Marlborough, MA with development of new laser welding and Laser cleaning Manufacturing processes for customers.
- Operate robotic & CNC machines; execute test plans and or DOE's.
- Cut, polish, and analyze Weld cross sections and analyze test results.
- Complete summer internship project on topic of interest to IPG.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing work.
