Tax Support Intern

Internship Schedule: Part-time; Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00 (20-25 hrs./week) *hours may vary by week. May require some Saturdays. January 2026-May 2026.

Location: 590 W Forevergreen Rd, North Liberty, IA 52317

Scope: The Tax Support Intern is responsible for assisting the Trust and Wealth Management Department Tax Team with assigned projects and duties peripheral to income tax reporting.

Accountabilities:

• Tax Reporting and Processing
• Assist with preparation of materials and delivery to tax preparers
• Assist with delivery of Schedule K-1 information to beneficiaries
• Capital gain/loss spreadsheets
• YE Holdings reports for charitable trusts
• Rental and Farm activity work papers
• Monitor 65-day distributions for Complex Trusts
• Communicate with tax preparers and Trust and Wealth Management staff
• Monitor Broadridge MLP tax reporting
• Compile information and process electronic tax payments (balance due and estimated tax) by required payment dates
• Assist with processing, obtaining signatures, and tracking of tax returns
• Save documents to electronic storage
• Prepare/Update monthly reports
• Assist with monthly tax withholding reconciliations and tax filings

Other:

• Maintain confidentiality of customer account information.
• Assist Trust and Wealth Management with special projects as needed.
• Periodic team check-ins
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Special Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prefer junior/senior in college, pursuing business degree
• This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills, as well as utilization of office equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, is preferred
