Strategic Account Executive

Purpose: We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Account Executive to lead and grow strategic relationships with our health plan partners. This role will be responsible for managing existing partnerships, driving renewals, expanding product adoption, and identifying new opportunities for acquisition growth and ASO business through Plan. The ideal candidate will have experience in health plan account management/sales, a strong understanding of digital health/point solutions, and a track record of delivering client/partnership success.
Essential Functions:
- Support acquisition growth by identifying and developing opportunities with health plan partners.
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned health plan partners.
- Drive contract renewals and negotiate terms to sustain long-term, high-value partnerships.
- Identify and execute opportunities for product expansion within existing health plan partnerships.
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, and clinical teams to align strategies.
- Track and monitor client engagements through Salesforce, prepare accurate reports and forecasts.
- Provide Wondr leadership with regular and status reports on health plan health and client activity.
Strategic Partnership & Engagement:
- Develop deep expertise in each health plan partners strategic priorities, member needs, and regulatory environment.
- Analyze performance data and deliver insights that showcase the value of our solutions.
- Advocate for partner needs within the organization, collaborating with internal teams to drive enhancements.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.
Operational Excellence & Execution:
- Lead the implementation and launch of new initiatives within health plans.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Establish and maintain account plans, renewal timelines, and engagement strategies.
- Drive internal process improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Deep understanding of health plan operations, reimbursement models, and regulatory considerations.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to analyze data and present insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel 30-40%.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or client success, preferably in digital health, health tech, or healthcare payer space. 10+ years' experience in a strategic client growth role, professional services, or healthcare consulting. Health/tech space preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial health plans. Familiarity with digital health, virtual care, or member engagement platforms. Experience in scaling partnerships and launching new products within health plans.
