IT Technician

As an IT Technician, you play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and management of organizational information technology (IT) assets. Your responsibilities will include deploying, supporting, and maintaining computer assets at your assigned facility, ensuring adherence to established guidelines. You will serve as an extension of the Global IT Service Desk and liaison to local operations leadership, meeting approved service level agreements for support response and resolution.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Site Ownership: Operate as the primary IT contact for your assigned site. Take ownership of all IT operations and asset health at the facility, including device management, user support, IT room maintenance, and on-site infrastructure. Represent the IT department to local site leadership and be responsible for communicating key updates and escalations.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Create relationships of trust with business stakeholders by consistently modeling professionalism, competence, appropriate urgency, and trustworthiness. Develop an understanding of problems that local users face and work with IT management to develop appropriate resolutions. Ensure that end-user needs are met within agreed-upon service level agreements. Provide feedback to appropriate IT resources where and when end-user needs are not met and escalate support tickets accordingly within the parameters of existing standard operating procedures.
  • Strong Team Player and Contributor: Work with project teams and the IT department to maintain or exceed quality expectations, deliver on project timelines, control IT costs, and provide superior customer care. Work well with colleagues within a fast-paced atmosphere. Combine strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results and execution.
  • Advanced Technical Support: IT Technicians are entrusted with access to network, server, and cloud technologies (and requisite training) to quickly address end users' needs. They serve as technical escalation points on the Service Desk and work closely with Network, Server, Security, and Cloud teams. They are also responsible for maintaining datacenters and network closets in accordance with IT standards.

What You'll Need:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in computer or computer-related field, or a comparable combination of schooling and professional experience.
  • Advanced expertise with Microsoft operating systems and applications.
  • Working knowledge of computer networking including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Active Directory, and other networking fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, mobile technologies, and peripherals.
  • Experience maintaining on-prem datacenter equipment and structured cabling.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
