Skyworks Solutions Cedar Rapids design center is seeking a part-time RF Technician student to join our Mobile Solutions team. In this role you will provide technician and engineering support, help with assembly, and assist with various tasks in a lab environment. We are looking for a skilled and motivated RF engineering student to contribute to industry-leading development of Power Amplifier (PAM) and Front End (FEM) module solutions for the fast paced and highly competitive cellular handset market.
Primary job responsibilities may include automated or semi-automated testing of parts, data post-processing, plotting, statistical analysis, documentation.
Primary task is to properly execute DVT work requests using test programs provided by the design or test engineer and provide initial screening of measurement results. Schedule and scrutinize DVT work requests for completeness and identify areas requiring additional clarification, resources, or test program development for new or unusual requirements. Must maintain a strong customer focus and proactively communicate priority conflicts and potential or actual schedule slips while maintaining the high level of throughput necessary to support Skyworks dynamic and diverse product mix. Become proficient in test setup debug and troubleshooting to insure we successfully meet our primary responsibility. Maintain an engineering notebook to document proper test setups, terminology, troubleshooting techniques, issues encountered, etc. Assist in design, construction, test, and troubleshooting of custom made testing solutions. Some mechanical experience needed.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour.
