As a Nutrition Services Clerk at MercyOne, you will be responsible for enhancing patient and family satisfaction by collecting and recording their food selections. Assists in ensuring that patients receive foods/meals according to their prescribed diet. Works closely with Clinical Nutrition and other IDT to ensure patient's nutrition needs are being met. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne. Assists in assuring patients receive food according to prescribed diets Documents patient intake Communicates relevant clinical observations to the patient care team Maintains safe, clean and organized patient room and unit kitchenette Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures Schedule: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, weekend and holiday requirements. General Requirements: Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language. Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties. Ability for basic math; ability to measure weights/volume. Ability to work with a large degree of independence. Must display professional image. Ability to be dependable and to follow through on written and verbal instructions. Education: High School diploma preferred but not required.
