Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our client's team in West Des Moines. This role will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, and related security tools to ensure a secure and efficient technology environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to deliver value and support business objectives.

Location: West Des Moines, IA — 100% Onsite Employment Type: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire MUST BE US CITIZEN/GREENCARD HOLDER

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Intune for device configuration, compliance policies, and application deployment.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage and monitor Azure Sentinel, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory environments.
• Oversee Microsoft Office 365 administration, including user management, licensing, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, including threat detection, remediation, and policy creation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices for security, compliance, and performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and operating system issues as needed.
• Participate in occasional on-call support rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory administration.
• Experience managing Microsoft Office 365 environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Intune for device management, compliance, and application deployment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Strong PowerShell automation skills.
• Broad technical skills, including operating systems, networking, and hardware.
• Strong communication, customer service, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant IT experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing Windows Server (2012 R2 or newer).
• Familiarity with Azure Arc for server management.
