Housekeeper

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking for a Housekeeper. As a Housekeeper at MercyOne, you will perform a variety of major and routine cleaning throughout the interior of the hospital complex.

Responsibilities include:

• Washing windows, walls, ceilings, light fixtures, and cleaning all horizontal and vertical surfaces.
• Analyzing floor conditions and determining the proper cleaning method to ensure proper appearance.
• Operating vacuums, dry mopping, wet mopping, and spot cleaning any type of floor.
• Coordinating all environmental services activity with the unit or department involved to minimize problems and ensure safety.
• Performing special isolation cleaning according to established procedures as required.
• Removing soiled linen from beds, washing beds, and remaking beds with clean linen on patient room transfers and dismissals.

Schedule:

Evenings 2:00 - 10:30 PM; rotating weekends and holidays.

General Requirements:

Previous janitorial and cleaning experience preferred. Floor machine operation experience preferred. Completion of high school or GED is preferred but not required.
