- The Staff Aerothermal Engineer will be responsible for ownership of external flow-field aerothermodynamic analysis.
- This role involves leading the creation of high-fidelity simulations and mentoring team members.
- The engineer will contribute to Inversion's advanced aerothermal modeling efforts and develop cutting-edge CFD tools and workflows.
- The position requires experience integrating ground and flight test data into aerothermal vehicle models.
- The engineer will creatively solve novel high-speed flow challenges and play a pivotal role in the design of next-generation hypersonic systems.

- The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in hypersonic, supersonic, reentry, or rocketry external flow-field aerothermodynamic analysis is essential.
- Strong knowledge of high fidelity, hypersonic Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is required.
- The candidate should have experience with recession analysis and material response.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, including prototyping and rapid iteration of new products, is crucial.
