✨ About The Role
- Lead the development of a multipurpose reentry vehicle payload bay based on customer feedback, industry standards, and innovative concepts
- Research potential payloads, design payload bay concepts, define environmental loading, and pursue the design through manufacture, test, and launch
- Work with the engineering team, business development, and mission management to come up with ideas to accommodate payloads for various missions
- Develop the payload bay of a reentry vehicle, defining mission architecture and ensuring the payload meets a range of customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful design, development, and launch of the payload bay
âš¡ Requirements
- Experienced engineer with a minimum of 5 years in aerospace or related fields, capable of leading the development of a multipurpose reentry vehicle payload bay
- Strong mechanical design skills and familiarity with CAD software, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinker with a proven ability to take designs from concept through launch, comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams including engineering, business development, and mission management
- Comfortable with all aspects of a program and able to accommodate payloads for a range of missions both commercial and defense related
