✨ About The Role
- Lead the development of a multipurpose reentry vehicle payload bay based on customer feedback and industry standards
- Work closely with engineering, business development, and mission management teams to accommodate payloads for various missions
- Research potential payloads, design payload bay concepts, and define environmental loading requirements
- Develop the payload bay from concept through launch, ensuring compliance with design and test standards
- Play a key role in building a Missions Team at Inversion Space and contribute to ushering in a new era of universal access to space travel
âš¡ Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant industry job, preferably in aerospace or mechanical engineering
- Strong mechanical design skills and experience with CAD software are essential for success in this role
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Creative package design experience and familiarity with design and test standards are highly valued
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead the development of a multipurpose reentry vehicle payload bay
