Responsibilities:
Provides the highest level possible of service to all customers with the main objective of serving our retail and walk in contractor, commercial and industrial customers.
Answers telephone inquiries pleasantly and promptly.
Provides customers with information on additional items related to purchases made.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the products sold, product usage, product prices and new products on the market.
Handles minor complaints with the objective of solving the problem.
Listens to a customer's complaint to find out what it will take to satisfy the customer.
Complies with Company's procedures on sales transactions, paperwork, refunds, credit memos, etc.
Maintains stock, displays and housekeeping for assigned areas.
Assists supervisor, other employees as needed.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 3 years' experience in retail or contractor building material sales preferred.
Skills:
Ability to do math, read orders, follow instructions and complete forms.
Ability to communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
Interpersonal skills.
Good telephone etiquette.
Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: $45,000-$55,000.
Shift: Day shift.
