We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Reliability Engineer to join our team at the Pensacola site. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in enhancing the reliability and performance of electrical distribution systems and assets, including turbines, substations, transformers, switchgears, and more. This role is critical for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the longevity and efficiency of low, medium, and high voltage electrical equipment, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs for various electrical distribution equipment.
  • Providing expert guidance on electrical safety compliance.
  • Delivering technical support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Proposing and justifying equipment upgrades.
  • Leading failure analysis initiatives and developing corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with engineering design standards.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive site motor testing program.

Desired outcomes:

  • Achieve high reliability in electrical systems impacting site safety and production.
  • Enhance asset care strategies to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), reduce maintenance costs, and increase operational reliability.
  • Foster a proactive culture focused on innovative problem-solving for improved business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining and ensuring the reliability of low, medium, and high voltage systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in engineering studies such as load flow, arc flash, and transformer sizing.
  • Experience in developing and implementing maintenance and reliability programs.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Skills required:

  • Expertise in application, installation, and grounding standards for electrical equipment.
  • Solid understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Capability to lead Root Cause Analysis and participate in Management of Change processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Proficient in SAP and strong computer skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
