Ride Control Engineer

From concept through commissioning, you'll engineer the control systems that power next-generation attractions for major entertainment destinations.

What You'll Do

• Design, program, and commission electrical and control systems for ride platforms and motion equipment
• Engineer PLC-based architectures, network frameworks, and electrical infrastructures
• Create electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and facility interface requirements
• Develop operator controls and electrical panels
• Prepare implementation strategies, budget estimates, and technical documentation
• Contribute to safety reviews, hazard analyses, and failure mode assessments
• Define testing criteria and oversee installation and commissioning

What You Bring

• 3+ years designing, programming, and commissioning control systems for electromechanical equipment
• Strong knowledge of safety control design and standards such as ISO 13849
• Expertise with PLCs, industrial networking (ProfiNET, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT), and closed-loop motion control
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Studio 5000, TwinCAT, or TIA Portal
• Ability to juggle multiple complex projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams
• BS degree required; Electrical Engineering highly preferred

Preferred

• TUV certification
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, or Beckhoff architectures
• Ride and Show system experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
