Market Data Analyst

The Market Data Analyst is responsible for liaising with clients, sources, and internal stakeholders to provide advice and guidance to ensure all internally mandated criteria are met. The candidate has a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, works well independently, achieves repeatable results, is knowledgeable of departmental and company responsibilities, and has an understanding of exchange/source policies as well as managing internal policies and procedures.

To offer a value-add service across our firm's multiple business lines

To provide a proactive, forward-facing, service orientated group with a clear understanding of the value of the corporate strategic assets ("the data") of which we are in effect the custodians

To implement a series of clearly defined best practices across all business lines and all product lines in order to support our global business in a timely, efficient & compliant way

To implement robust processes to support the sales cycle and the client on-boarding process while adhering to our core principals of source compliance & consistency

Provide consultancy services to internal stakeholders in relation to exchange data

Liaise with clients, sources and internal business stakeholders providing guidance and working with internal applications and systems so that clients may receive the data in a timely fashion

Respond and engage proactively with exchanges/sources regarding policies and rules and other ad hoc requests

Communicate changes in source policies and pricing, offering a consultancy service (where appropriate) to guide clients and internal stakeholders through the changes to ensure that they understand the impact and to ensure that they take the appropriate action by the change's effective date

Special projects and tasks as assigned

Collect, define, and document business/technical procedures as it relates to the system and applications that are used, both on the back-end and the GUI

Engage with all internal Stakeholders within the organization (technology, product management, sales, account management) teams in addition to the other Market Data Operation groups (Control, Reporting, Content) as you collaborate to achieve the organization's shared goal

College degree or equivalent industry experience

Exhibits a proactive nature and approach to learning, problem identification and resolution

Strong Microsoft Office skills; Excel and PowerPoint essential. Visio knowledge is a plus

Thoroughness, attention to detail and the ability to think and work both independently and within a team environment

Service oriented toward both internal and external clients

Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

Good written, oral, and interpersonal skills are a must
