Mechanical Engineer / CNC Programmer (Metals Manufacturing)

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Flushing, New York

Salary Range: $100-110K + bonus

Job Description: Responsibilities

• CNC Machining knowledge and programming background using CAD/CAM systems Catia or Bravo.
• Able to utilize the computer to create part geometry and subsequently develop turning and milling CNC programs.
• Defines special tooling requirements and fixtures as required.
• Write and optimize CNC programs to create complex parts on 3 and 4 axis machining centers.
• Develop work holding and select cutting tools.
• Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up machines.
• Write CNC programs for 2 axis lathes.

Requirements

• Ideally have 5 years of experience as CNC Programmer. Candidates with 3–5 years of experience may be considered if they demonstrate strong skills.
• Familiar with commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within metal fabrication environment.
• Experience in using CATIA or BRAVO software.
• Proficient with GD&T.
