Job Objective

To be responsible for the realization and assignment of complex or high-difficulty engineering works, due to capacity, advanced knowledge, specialization, and experience in the domain of one or multiple areas of engineering and their particular discipline, as well as other types of products and systems. With leadership skills to direct small groups in projects or work teams.

Main Responsibilities

• To generally have more than 10 years of relevant experience in the discipline and competent knowledge and understanding of regulations, codes, design and manufacturing standards, and standard industry practices. Additionally, must have solid knowledge in the estimation of project costs and the drafting of proposal contents.
• To make responsible decisions for the definition of the course of engineering deliverables, drawing, and modeling. Difficult, complex, or unusual decisions will be referred to the local Engineering Manager or Discipline Manager.
• To work autonomously allowing the planning and organization of tasks in assigned projects, own and team members, in case of directing one.
• To perform functions based on self-initiated technical interaction and orientation with the supervisor (discipline manager), to subsequently influence the objectives and duties of their team.
• To receive, manage, and carry out assignments related to engineering projects with specific objectives and priorities, considering critical areas that may affect the work of other units. May be a supervisor of activities or also have supervision for determination of precision, integrity, and compliance with objectives.
• To work in teams of up to 10 people who report directly to you, either participating or leading, and which may be comprised of engineers and designers of the same discipline, but could include a much larger total size considering coordinated support. May have authority for performance evaluations that affect the salary of other professionals.
• To maintain constant and effective communication with the work team, to inform and persuade on complex issues and problems through the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and discipline management.
• To build appropriate, constructive, and effective relationships throughout the organization; use diplomacy and tact, be accessible, communicate clearly, precisely, and coherently both verbally and in writing. Employ the principles of active listening and encourage feedback from and to others.
• To work in a team with visibility to high-level stakeholders, be able to work and liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders, be able to prioritize workloads and help other team members achieve their objectives.
• To achieve the results established by yourself and others, meeting defined established deadlines.

What You Will Bring?

Software, Processes, and Tools:

• Professional in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or Related Fields
• Experience in the realization of conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering of industry projects (Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, among others).
• Competence in the use of tools such as Microsoft 365 and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams). Ability to navigate intranet pages, perform searches, and retrieve information. Ability to organize information from multiple sources and retain it according to the established format and policies.
• Competent and efficient work in specialized design tools, analysis and modeling, and interdisciplinary data-centric methods.
