Objective

Produce Engineering in the discipline of processes ensuring safety and a high standard of quality in the calculations and deliverables of the discipline in accordance with design criteria and standards.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Performs engineering calculation, design, and production activities in accordance with the projects assigned by the Discipline Leader.
• Complies with safety and quality criteria in the design for the Processes discipline using national, global, and client standards, codes, and regulations.
• Participates in the review of technical specifications and design of potential manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and machinery for mineral processing.
• Proposes and meets efficient and realistic deadlines for the production of Conceptual Studies, Pre-Feasibility Studies and Feasibility, Basic Engineering Designs, Detail, Pre-commissioning Manuals, Commissioning and Operation; and technical/commercial proposals; depending on the work assigned by their Discipline Leader.
• Complies with criteria linked to the operation philosophy, budget, and schedule, deliverables to be presented, producing design deliverables such as P&IDs, PFDs, Process Control Strategies, Commissioning and Operation Plans, and the rest of the documentation agreed with the client.
• May participate in tests such as Process Mapping which includes System Mapping, Installation Checklist, Dry and Wet Tests, Operations Team Training, Start-up, Process Ramp-Up, Bottleneck De-congestion, and Startup Troubleshooting.
• Develops Value Engineering in accordance with the criteria of the Discipline Leader, Engineering Manager, and Project Manager, depending on the scope of the project and client needs.
• Ensures compliance with the Worley Quality Assurance System and HSE System guidelines in the production of assigned engineering.
• Other functions inherent to the position.

What You Will Bring?

Software, Processes, and Tools:

• Specific Knowledge: Process Engineering, in mineral processing, with a focus on base metals. Experience in processing other types of metals and water treatment plants is valued.
• Specific Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, and at least 3 years in a similar role. Project Management skills and the ability to work in a global environment with a high level of pressure.
• Academic Qualifications, Accreditations, Training: Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering.
• HSE Skills: Actively promotes our LIFE value behaviors and HSE Policies applicable to the Processes Discipline.
• IT Skills: Intermediate use of Microsoft environment (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and multiple Calculation and Design Software in JK Simmet, METSIM, Autocad, LIM software recommended.
• Personal Competencies: A good level of communication at an oral and written level is expected.
• Other Skills: Autonomy, Entrepreneurship within the work, capable of working in a global environment.
• Planning and Control Skills. Advanced Level of English, Intermediate Portuguese (desired)
