Job Objective

To be responsible for the execution and assignment of intermediate to complex engineering work due to your capacity, intermediate knowledge, specialization, and experience in the domain of one or multiple engineering areas and your particular discipline, in addition to other types of products and systems. Your work is subject to practices and procedures and may require periodic review. Depending on the requirement, you may lead small teams in projects or work teams.

Key Responsibilities

Be able to give recommendations that will include complete solutions within the scope of the engineering work, drawing or modeling. Unusual and high-complexity decisions are usually referred to more senior discipline members.

Work autonomously allowing the planning and organization of tasks on assigned projects, your own and your team members, in case you are leading one.

Perform your functions based on a self-initiated weekly to monthly technical interaction and orientation with your supervisor, your work is generally not supervised in detail and the amount of supervision varies according to the assignment.

Receive, manage, and carry out project-related assignments with specific objectives and priorities, considering critical areas that may affect the work of other units. Technical guidance is usually available to review your work programs and advise on unusual features of your assignments.

Work in teams of up to 4 people who report directly to you, whether participating or leading, and who may be composed of engineers and designers of the same discipline, but you do not have the authority for performance evaluations that affect the salary of other professionals.

Maintain constant and effective communication with the work team to inform and persuade about complex issues and problems through the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations and reports, as well as collaboration with stakeholders and discipline management.

Work competently and efficiently in specialized design tools, analysis, and interdisciplinary data-centric modeling methods.

Build appropriate, constructive, and effective relationships throughout the organization; use diplomacy and tact, be accessible, communicate clearly, precisely and coherently both verbally and in writing. Employ the principles of active listening and encourage feedback from and to others.

Work in a team with visibility to high-level stakeholders, be able to work and link with multiple teams and stakeholders, be able to prioritize workloads and help other team members achieve their goals.

Achieve the results established by yourself and others, meeting defined established deadlines.

What You Will Bring?

Software, processes, and tools:

• Be competent in the use of tools such as Microsoft 365 and Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams). You can navigate intranet pages, perform searches, and retrieve information. You can organize information from multiple sources and retain it according to the established format and policies.
• Generally have more than 5 years of relevant experience in the discipline and a competent knowledge and understanding of regulations, codes, design and manufacturing standards, and standard industry practices. Additionally, you may have intermediate knowledge in estimating project costs and drafting proposal contents.
• Have experience in the realization of conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering of industry projects (Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, among others).
