Bilingual Director, Software Development, Shared Services

We're looking for a Bilingual Director, Software Development, Shared Services to join our growing team! What you'll do here:

  • Contribute to a great work environment by providing exemplary leadership and by mentoring our emerging leaders and managers within our Software development team.
  • Collaborate with executive management and development team in defining the product vision and roadmap and ensuring successful execution and great product releases.
  • Ensure the evolution of DevOps practices in our current software applications and architectures leveraging forward thinking methodologies and by offering our teams an efficient and cutting-edge work environment.
  • Manage our DevOps practices in connection with our CICD pipeline, our quality management practices, version and deployment management practices, the security of our platforms and related operations.
  • Hire outstanding talent that can work in high-performing teams.
  • Communicate effectively across the organization to ensure that the team is completely aligned to the business objectives.
  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with peers and other key stakeholders that can optimize execution.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in software development with experience on an Agile/Scrum team and at least 5 years of experience managing one or more software development teams.
  • Strong technical leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of software engineering principles and processes including automated testing, secure coding practices and operations management along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize strategies.
  • Strong project management skills at scale.
  • Strong skills in critical thinking, decision-making, problem solving, and attention to details.
  • Proven success in budget management of large projects/portfolios, departments and people/team resources.
  • Operations management in software engineering and infrastructure.
  • Strong technology understanding and focus on learning every day.
  • Bilingual (French and English) - For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues accross the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
