Senior Data Analytics Engineer

How you will make an impact:
- Lead cross-functional projects from ideation to execution with a high degree of independence and maximum impact
- Solve high velocity, high impact analytics problems
- Scale the business using data
- Work on a mix of analytics engineering, business analytics, and data science using SQL and Python
- Build scalable data infrastructure that solves real problems
Sample projects:
- Operate and improve a data product to serve evolving business needs
- Refactor data system to scale with increased volume and new requirements
- Build new data pipelines to support tracking of new business initiatives
- Champion usage of new tools and systems to improve team processes
- Improve the prediction accuracy of our customer acquisition machine-learning bidding algorithms
- Perform customer segmentation analysis to discover where to improve Insurify products
- Improve alerting systems to help us triage data quality issues at scale
Key Skills + Background:
- 3-4 years of experience, record of impact and success in a similar role (Analytics or Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analysis)
- Expertise in and real-world experience with SQL
- Exposure to data warehousing and ETL concepts
- Strong quantitative and programming skills - Python (preferred) R, Rust, Go, Ruby, C++ also good
- Bachelors / Masters in Mathematics, Engineering, CS, Economics, or other technical major
- Quick learning ability and a drive suitable for the startup hustle.
- A positive team player with a solid work ethic who is ready to pivot between projects, learn from mistakes, always move forward, and help build the next big thing in insurance!
