Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

Insulet is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead a high-performing team of 6–8 engineers at our Acton Plant. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, sustaining automation equipment, and supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities for Class II Medical Devices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers focused on automation equipment performance.
• Drive product and process improvements aligned with Insulet's core objectives: Best Quality, Highest Efficiency, Superior Customer Service, Lowest Cost.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor and report on yield and equipment uptime; lead efforts to achieve or exceed KPI targets.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 10+ years in a regulated industry with at least 1+ year(s) of experience managing people.
• OR M.S. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management (or equivalent) with 8+ years' experience with at least 1+ year(s) of experience managing people.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and data analysis (Minitab/JMP)
• SolidWorks expertise and strong drafting skills
• Hands-on troubleshooting of semi- and fully automated equipment
• Strong command of structured problem-solving methodologies
• Excellent project management and communication skills

Additional Information:

• The position is in-person at our Acton, MA location
• Travel up to 10% (Domestic & International)

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $122,600.00 - $183,950.00. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
