As an Automation Engineer (Onsite) in the Global Equipment Engineering Group, the candidate will support the design, development, and improvement of automated manufacturing equipment used in high-volume production of wearable medical devices. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to projects involving assembly automation, packaging equipment, continuous improvement, and new product introduction. The candidate will also collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to specify, procure, and install new manufacturing lines and equipment in accordance with business needs. The candidate will work in a collaborative team environment with manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, controls, metrology, quality, and component supplier engineering. Responsibilities include working with cross-functional teams and/or strategic partners and providing technical guidance to support project execution. This role is ideal for a highly motivated early-career engineer with strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on problem-solving ability, and interest in automated systems and machine design.
The successful candidate will primarily focus on the design, development, specification, and implementation of automated equipment for assembly and packaging processes. In addition, continuous improvement efforts, obsolescence programs, technology transfers, and new product development may also be exercised in support of business objectives. Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $85,400.00 - $128,075.00. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
