About the Role:
The Finance Senior Associate will manage and improve our organization's financial performance and direct our accounting operations. Duties for the Senior Associate will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role will lead and support Accounting, mainly payable and payment, with partnering all Japan employees and outside vendors. The position will be responsible for the end-to-end payment processes and for ensuring alignment across related teams. The staff will support the Accounting Operation Manager, Finance - Japan, Finance – Japan to ensure comprehensive payable and payment process improvement and execution. He/she will partner with Procurement team to manage Procure to Pay process. In addition, he/she will partner with business members as needed to support special initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Manage relationships with external accounting partners
- Review the accuracy of vendor information including banking information
- Manage and review accounts payable
- Manage other financial and accounting transactions
- Streamlining accounting operations
- Partner with business areas and Accounting to ensure timely and accurate book closing and accruals for all supported functional areas.
- Support Accounting Operation Manager, Finance - Japan in partnership with Procurement in support of requisitions.
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience with exposure to general accounting mainly in accounting payable (with all relevant experience will be considered).
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial disclosures and the financial statement close process.
- Experience with ERP systems is required; Oracle is preferable, and Concur a plus
- Experience in healthcare industry is preferable
- Committed to timeline-driven process associated with monthly payments and closing
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment
- Demonstrated experience improving, developing and implementing new processes
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Works effectively across functions as a team player
- Successful experience in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
