Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a senior software engineer to join a high-impact engineering team within the client domain of the integration center of excellence organization. This position requires a strong hands-on engineer who can quickly operate at a senior level, take ownership of complex systems, and contribute meaningfully from day one. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies, contribute to mission-critical services, and play an early role in emerging AI-driven initiatives across the team.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and support APIs, with a strong emphasis on GraphQL, as the organization continues to wrap and modernize existing APIs
• Develop and support distributed systems using Kafka / Confluent Cloud
• Ensure services are observable and production-ready using tools such as Datadog
• Implement and maintain secure systems with a strong understanding of authentication and authorization
• Contribute to API management and security using Azure API Gateway
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support: digital identity and user registration, system synchronization and document services (insurance, brokerage, investment products, etc.), client-related workflows and special handling use cases, data hydration and integrations supporting banking and financial platforms
• Participate in technical discussions, architectural decisions, and code reviews
• Support high-priority initiatives as needed and assist teammates when required
• Explore and propose innovative solutions leveraging AI and emerging technologies
