Day to day, Insight Global is seeking an IBM I Lead System Administrator. This person takes ownership of the IBM i platform, serving as the final escalation point for technical issues. The role centers on maintaining platform stability and guiding its long-term direction while working closely with a managed service provider and internal application teams. Daily activities include reviewing system health, addressing escalations promptly, and advising on maintenance tasks to ensure high availability and resilience. The admin/engineer makes independent decisions about system changes and risk mitigation, keeping leadership informed of recommendations. Collaboration with vendors and operations teams is frequent to align technical execution with business needs.
