Value Engineering Team Member
In this role, you will be part of the Value Engineering Team and work closely with internal and external partners on all engine platforms. You will lead and conduct several cost analysis projects (PCO projects) for various parts and systems using different techniques such as target cost or linear performance price analysis. In close collaboration with development, procurement, and manufacturing, you will proactively propose ideas for cost reduction, assist in the early concept phase, and help with design-to-cost methods and conceptual design decisions.

Your responsibilities:
- Leadership and coordination of value engineering projects to optimize product costs and quality
- Conducting cost analyses for systems and concepts to support design engineers and procurement
- Leading and managing external development partners to conduct cost analyses
- Advising and supporting various departments to achieve optimal cost design concepts and procurement strategies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Developing and implementing strategies for value enhancement and cost reduction
- Presenting results and recommendations to management
Your profile:
- Completed technical education with several years of professional experience (HTL/FH/Uni)
- Several years of experience in value engineering or a similar function
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in leading projects
- Knowledge in the design and development of piston engines is advantageous
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent German and English
- Willingness to travel to our suppliers (~10% of the time)
- A valid work permit for Austria is required for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to your application)
The base salary for this position consists of the legally required minimum salary in Austria of EUR 4,269.07 gross per month (x 14) and an overpayment depending on your qualifications and experience.
