Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Develops and maintains Quality Control (QC) processes, procedures, and checklists. Conducts internal reviews and audits to determine compliance with established performance standards and quality levels. Conducts process improvement and root cause analysis/defect correction activities as required. Collects and maintains quality records. Generates quality reports of program activities and communicates recommendations. Monitors the corrective action process. Establishes and tracks key evaluation metrics. Identifies and implements quality approaches to ensure adherence to performance metrics. Measures and audits projects against AS9100 quality management system standards as applicable.
• 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
• Must possess an active Top Secret clearance
• Ability to analyze system requirements and develop engineering specifications
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering lifecycle phases
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical documentation
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like MagicDraw or Cameo
• Prior experience working with military or aerospace platforms
• Master's degree in a technical discipline is a plus
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
