Purchasing Agent Support

Location: Plainfield, IN Zip Code: 46168 Duration: 3+ months Pay Rate: $22 - $27/hr.

Summary of role responsibilities would be as follows:

  1. PO Confirmations
  2. Open PO Check
  3. Below Min Check at set intervals (Monday MRP run) a. Send RFQ/reorder
  4. Job Shortage Report action- source items with no PO
  5. Maintain Paint/Resin/Adhesive table in binder
  6. Invoice reconciliation w/ finance team
  7. All direct and subcontract PO creation
  8. PO Requests and Purchase Card Requests
  9. Green card creation/processing (Kanban)
  10. Inbound blanket PO maintenance

Job Responsibilities

  • PO confirmations and creation (direct and subcontract)
  • Open PO checks and follow-ups
  • RFQs and supplier communication
  • Job shortage report actions
  • Maintenance of paint/adhesive tables and binders
  • Invoice handling
  • Purchase card and green card requests
  • Inbound blanket PO maintenance

Top Required Skills

  • Purchase Order (PO) creation - non-negotiable
  • Open PO follow-up
  • Supplier communication and RFQ management

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • ERP system experience
  • Prior purchasing experience
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
