Under the direction of the PPG leader, supports the clerical functions in the walk-in clinic to ensure quality care. Conducts professional patient interactions by obtaining demographic and financial information. Greets and processes patients in an efficient, friendly, accurate and timely manner. Is responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence; and adheres to the PH Standards of Behavior. Takes a tympanic temperature, obtains heart rate and oxygen saturation using a pulse oximeter, and refers to the WIC Stoplight Assessment Tool to collaborate with the clinical team on escalating a patient concern.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Licensure/Certification CPR required.
Must have two years clerical experience, physician office experience preferred. Must have experience working with computers. Medical terminology and/or coding experience preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
