Senior Android Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer who will lead the design, development, and delivery of key mobile application features for Empower Retirement. This role is fully remote, requires strong technical leadership, and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive architectural improvements and deliver high-quality mobile solutions. Responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and development of advanced mobile application features and projects.
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and providing technical guidance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine, plan, and prioritize requirements.
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring high-quality development standards.
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Enhancing the scalability, performance, and architecture of mobile applications.
• Working closely with other teams to debug, test, and improve product functionality.
• Producing clear documentation, maintaining clean code, and demonstrating solutions effectively.
• Continuously staying updated with modern mobile technologies and best practices.

Required qualifications include:

• 6+ years of professional experience in native Android and/or iOS development.
• 1+ published native Android and/or iOS applications.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Objective-C, and/or Swift.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective leadership, communication, and influencing abilities.
• Experience working in full-stack environments.

Work model: Remote within the U.S. Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Salary range: $70,000 – $117,000 annually. Application deadline: 3/10/2026.
